From Winchester to Stratford-upon-Avon
More than just a ride - it’s a 100 mile cycle ride linking the glory that is Winchester with historic Stratford-upon-Avon.
Transport to the start, ride back over two days, fully supported, with B&B hotel accommodation. Option to join at Winchester for the complete ride - or ask about starting from the overnight stop at Swindon ...
An enthusiastic and experienced volunteer crew, comprehensive route maps, support vehicles and baggage transport for the journey - fantastic fun, raising money* for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The route is suitable for both novice riders, with some training, yet is challenging enough for seasoned cyclists. The route will not be finalised before the end of the year but is based on as near to 100 miles as we can make it, split roughly 40% on Saturday, 60% on Sunday.
Numbers of riders will be restricted so there will be plenty of opportunities to get to know fellow cyclists and the volunteers, all supporting this vital cause.
* We would be grateful for whatever you may raise, but for MacRide-Tour we expect everyone to raise at least £100. Funds raised at the MacRide Tour 2016 will be shared equally with the Stratford Hospital £1 million Appeal - enhancing the equipment and environment at the new cancer centre.
The MacRide-Tour is a non-commercial fund-raising event organised by MacRide Events for Macmillan Cancer Support, any surplus from the entry cost will be added to the amount raised - the organising team is comprised entirely of volunteers.
